Housing options fall into one of three categories:
Housing will be available in Samuelson Hall (map). The cost per night is $66 without a meal plan and $83 with a meal plan (payable upon online registration). The meal plan includes 3 meals a day. (More information on dining options here.) We will post more details on check-in and check-out procedures soon.
Most participants will share an apartment-style unit consisting of 3-4 bedrooms, a common living area, and 2 bathrooms. Due to unexpected maintenance on some of the residential halls, we will have fewer rooms than expected and will have to use some 2-bedroom units with 1.5 bathrooms, and some of the 3-4 bedrooms units will actually be occupied by 3 or 4 people. Because of this unexpected inconvenience we are listing additional lodging options below.
Participants staying at the dorms can check-in and check-out at the Carter Technology Center next to Carter Hall at the Campus Commons. It is open seven days a week, 9:00am-11:00pm. Participants arriving outside these times should contact the organizers so we can arrange to have them checked-in and get them their keys.
We will arrange for shuttle service to and from these three hotels; more information will be provided soon.
Please note that TCU will not reimburse the hotel occupancy tax as it is exempt. Please fill out and turn in this form before checking-out so the hotel will not charge the tax.
These hotels are near Colonial Country Club, which will be hosting a PGA tour event the week of GPOTS, so please book early!
The most convenient large airport is DFW International Airport, though it is also not unreasonable to fly into Dallas Love Field. There are several options to get to campus from the airport, including shuttle services such as Super Shuttle.
The physical address for Samuelson Hall, the dormitory participants will housed in, is 3202 Main Drive, Fort Worth, TX 76129.
The main university address is 2800 S. University Drive, Fort Worth, TX 76129.
Over the summer, daytime parking is allowed with a pass in any of the lots designated as for Faculty, Staff, or Commuter Students and that are not marked as Reserved. Overnight parking should be done in Lot 3 or in the lot behind Campus Police.
However, the 2017 Dean & DeLuca Invitational, this year’s PGA golf tournament to be held at Colonial Country Club May 24-28, will use several of TCU’s surface parking lots for its visitor parking. You may consult this map for details. PArticipants are encouraged to use Lot 7 or the Frog Alley Parking Garage.
We have arranged for parking passes to be available upon request upon check-in (in Carter Technology Center). Participants not staying on campus can obtain a pass Monday morning during registration.
