Limited campus housing will be available on a first come, first served basis. The cost will be $78 per person per night, which includes three meals per day (dinner/breakfast/lunch) in TCU's Market Center dining hall. Unfortunately, housing without a meal plan is not available. Linens will be included. Check-in details for those staying on campus will be provided prior to the conference. Participants receiving housing costs as part of travel support will be reimbursed after the conference.
Housing will be in Fish Hall (3140 Bellaire Drive N., Fort Worth) and Mullins Hall (3142 Bellaire Drive N., Fort Worth) in TCU's Tom Brown/Pete Wright Apartments. From 9 AM to 11 PM, check in will be in 7204 Moncrief Hall (Moncrief Hall is at 2909 Stadium Drive; on Google Maps this address points to the Brown-Lupton University Union, but Moncrief Hall is the next building to the south). Various camps will also be checking in, so there may be a short wait, depending on when you arrive. If you arrive after 10:45 PM, please call the Conference Services on-call number, which is 817-437-7994 (do not call the emergency number listed below). Those planning to arrive after 10:45 PM should also contact me in advance.
Housing is arranged in suites, so everyone will have their own room but you will be sharing a bathroom. Please make sure to work with your suitemates to accommodate bathroom schedules.
Once you have checked in, please double check your room for any pre-existing damage; any damage not reported within 24 hours will become your responsibility. Note that alcohol may not be consumed in Hall common areas and no smoking is permitted anywhere on campus. Each room will be provided with linens and a trash bag; each floor of the Halls has a room to which to bring trash.
For checkout, you can check out at 7204 Moncrief Hall 9 AM -11 PM. There will also be a dropbox for keys in the Tom Brown/Pete Wrights Commons (the building that has a fireplace on its south side). Do not put your TCU keycard/ID in the dropbox if you plan to continue using it for meals; the keycard/ID does not need to be returned.
For non-emergency needs, such as extra linens, trash bags, or lost keys during business hours, you can go to Moncrief Hall 7204 from 9 AM to 11 PM. For emergency needs at any hour you can reach on-call staff at 817-257-7883. For police emergencies, the emergency number for TCU police is 817-257-7777.
If you are planning to use the campus Recreation Center during your visit, please contact me in advance.
The complete housing policies can be found in this document. Please familiarize yourself with all the policies.
Participants staying in TCU housing will automatically be enrolled in a meal plan providing dinner, breakfast, and lunch corresponding to each paid night in housing (so if you stay the evening of June X, your housing fee includes dinner on June X and breakfast and lunch on June X+1). All meals will be at Market Square, which occupies the North wing of the second floor of the Brown-Lupton University Union (2901 Stadium Drive).
Participants not staying in university housing can also eat at Market Square either by paying $12 per meal paid by cash or credit card at the entrance or by prepaying $28 per each dinner/breakfast/lunch cycle. To prepay by credit card, please call Kellyann Petty at 817-257-8018 during the week before the conference; the money will be loaded onto the TCU card you will receive at the conference on Monday morning, which you can then swipe to enter. If you are planning to use your meal card before lunch on Monday, please contact me at least four days before the conference so I can arrange to get your card to you.
Dining hours are: Breakfast 7-9 AM; Lunch 11 AM-1:30 PM; Dinner 5-7 PM.
Note: since participants will have access to a full breakfast at Market Square, we are not planning to provide breakfast foods (bagels, donuts, etc.) at the talk site. Coffee, tea, and some light snacks will be available in the mornings in our coffee break area in Winton-Scott Hall.
