| The answer to quiz question #1 was (b), a solid ball. For the second quiz question (sponsored by Einstein's), imagine removing a solid bagel from S3. What does the remainder (leftovers) look like? Is it a ball with the core drilled out? A solid ball? Another solid bagel, or something more complicated? Here the answer turns out to be (c), another solid bagel. I've drawn two pictures to try to vizualize this, but it's a bit harder to picture. |
