Applied Precalculus, MATH 10273

Textbook:
Mathematics with Applications, Fourth Custom Edition for TCU, by Lial, Hungerford, Holcomb, and Mullins. These book is available for purchase from TCU Bookstore. If you wish, you can buy instead Mathematics with Applications in the Management, Natural, and Social Sciences, Eleventh Edition, by Lial, Hungerford, Holcomb, and Mullins. The two textbooks are fully compatible.

Prerequisites:
MATH 10023 or two years of high school algebra.

Course Description:
In this course, we will learn basics of polynomial, rational, exponential and logarithmic functions. This knowledge will help you to succeed in Applied Calculus class.

Calculator/Computer:
You will need a calculator that has logarithm and exponential function keys. TI-84 or TI-83 are recommended calculators.

Grading:

The final grade for this course will be determined as follows.
