PS 1:  Getting to know you!

1) Turn in a color copy of your ID and "dumb" calculator, at 200%.  A "dumb" calculator must have not statistics, trigonometry, or business functions.  It must have only one memory space.  It must not have any functions "higher" than +,-, x, /, 1/x, sqrt, %.

1.5 PS 1.5:   "Liberal" and "Conservative" :  Is there just one dimension?

1)  Go to www.politicalcompass.org .  Take the quiz.  Re-take it as many times as you wish.  Print your results.  You do not need to purchase a certificate. Just print the results page.

2) Check out the "About The Political Compass" or "analysis" page.  Look at the "International" chart.  On a separate sheet of paper, neatly tell me:
      a) who are you closest to on the vertical scale?
      b) who are you closest to on the horizontal scale?
      c) who are you closest to overall?  
Neatness counts!

3) Check out the "Composers' Political Compass" page.  On a separate sheet of paper, neatly tell me:
      a) who are you closest to on the vertical scale?
      b) who are you closest to on the horizontal scale?
      c) who are you closest to overall?
   Neatness counts!

4) Staple it together and turn it all in at the beginning of class.
